LET US TELL YOU A STORY

Prints like manuals and guides are commonly seen and used. They are at our disposal whenever we are in an event or an exhibition venue. Yet, these publications often give the impression of being standardised, monotonous and rarely reader-friendly. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), which manages Hong Kong’s cultural and entertainment venues, is aware of the shortcomings. Therefore, they commissioned Ztory to produce a series of animation shorts to suggest ways of visiting a museum.

Design Concept

Ztory pinpointed that LCSD’s museums have a strong family audience. The team proposed ‘The Ultimate Guide to Exploring Museums’, which is four shorts featuring animals personified as human visitors in various museums. The storylines are interestingly developed and the viewers could learn more about the etiquette of visiting a museum.

Distinct from LCSD’s previous promotional reels, Ztory kept each clip within one minute and opted for a less linear storytelling. The videos, composed of an interesting plot and wonderful visuals, attract the eyeballs of the audience, making it an excellent promotion.
