Using Motion Graphics in Videos for Better Interpretation

Hong Kong Science Museum (HKSCM) has always been committed to promoting science among the general public, with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) enjoying great popularity in recent years. Ztory was commissioned by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to create an introductory video and help the public to learn more about this cross-disciplinary programme.

Design Concept

The team understands that the concept and importance of STEM cannot be illustrated by spoken description or pictures alone. So the team invited the curator from HKSCM to introduce the concept of STEM from the perspectives of history, nature and daily life, together with attractive animated images to arouse public attention to the popularity of STEM.

A Final Word

The video runs just two minutes long, but the team has proven that using motion graphics to explain the sophisticated content is effective to help the viewers to learn 'keywords in just one episode'.
