Help You with Your Help
'Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise' is a project by the Social Welfare Department since 2001. Its objective is to enhance the employment of people with disabilities through granting subsidies to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to start small enterprises or businesses. Although the scheme has been established for 20 years, there remains a general lack of knowledge about people with disabilities and social enterprises, as well as the specifics of the scheme itself.

To address the lack of publicity for the project, Ztory has developed a new strategy for clients and divided it into four phases: sensation, attention, interpretation and retention.
Sensation Stage x Attention Stage
In the first stage, the team started by creating a dedicated page on social media to announce the project and promote public participation in social enterprises, as a preparation for the following activities. The team also designed a minisite with the theme of 'Help You with Your Help' and a one-minute animation to present the project details.
For the key publicity period, Ztory invited the internet celebrity Rik Ching to collaborate with it and be a one-day staff at a social enterprise, YM Balloon. With the celebrity effect, successfully address the public's concerns to pay more attention and support to the social enterprises.
Interpretation Stage x Retention Stage
To dispel myths about people with disabilities, Ztory organised an interactive exhibition during the mass action period, aiming to let the public know people with disabilities are capable of work and contribute to society as long as they are given the opportunity. As for the final stage, the team recommends clients continue to roll out social media posts, along with the new minisite, keeping the public up to date with the latest information and to drive sustainable business development.
Through Ztory's all-round strategy, we have successfully raised public awareness of persons with disabilities, social enterprises and also the project. The team hopes that the Social Welfare Department can make good use of the minsite and its social media to benefit the public, social enterprises and even people with disabilities.
