Earn Resonance Among the Audience Through Stories

Dr. Louis Cha’s (Jin Yong) series of martial arts novels are considered to be the epitome of the genre. For years, readers have been captivated by the thrilling world of martial arts depicted in his works, with many of them adapted into TV dramas. In 2017, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum established a permanent exhibition showcasing Jin Yong's legacy. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) collaborated with Ztory to create a promotional video for Jin Yong Gallery, inviting the public to immerse themselves in the legendary world of Jin Yong.

Design Concept

This video promotion for the Jin Yong Gallery stands out from typical museum videos by showcasing an in-depth interview with Dr. Tang Wai Hung, a respected figure in the martial arts TV drama industry. Drawing on his extensive experience, Dr. Tang sheds light on the making of martial arts dramas and examines Jin Yong's calligraphy and ink paintings, which evoke the vibrant world of martial arts. By presenting these insights in an engaging way, the video provides a richer understanding of Jin Yong's impact on Hong Kong's cultural landscape.

Although a video with a simple and straightforward narrative may be the most accessible to viewers, sometimes changing up the style and using the story as a hook can be a more effective way to pique the audience's interest.
